The boys from “The Inbetweeners” are officially back.

Netflix has confirmed that production has begun in the UK on a third movie, reuniting Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison for the first time in their familiar roles since “The Inbetweeners 2” in 2014.

The new film brings Will, Simon, Jay and Neil back together more than a decade after audiences last saw their famously awkward adventures.

All Four Original Stars Are Returning

Simon Bird returns as Will McKenzie, Joe Thomas as Simon Cooper, James Buckley as Jay Cartwright and Blake Harrison as Neil Sutherland.

Netflix Tudum confirmed that the four actors are already back on set as production gets underway.

The original television series ran on Channel 4 from 2008 to 2010 before expanding into two successful movies released in 2011 and 2014.

The Original Creators Are Back Too

Series creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley will both write and direct the new film.

Their return means the sequel will remain closely connected to the creative team responsible for the original series and first two movies.

Netflix has not yet revealed detailed plot information, so it remains unclear exactly what has happened to Will, Simon, Jay and Neil as adults.
